I can't eject the cd changer in my elite omega estate! I'm fed up of the music in there now!! Very very occasionally I press the eject button and out it pops!? But when I reload it months pass by untillit makes up its mind to release itself. Any ideas or clues anyone?? [smiley=angry.gif]

If you are not sure what head unit you have in front of you, then those of us that cannot see it, will strugle to know what you are talking about, as to my knowledge, none on here have yet mastered the art of telepathy.
As Tunnie previously asked, what head unit do you have ?
The more information you can give, then the more help you will probably receive.
;)

I am trying but its not going anywhere :( ;D
We need to know headunit as there was a huge range of headunits fitted over the years, as you don't even tell us which year you car is which would narrow it down.....

As far as I know, no Bosch CD changers were ever fitted to Omegas (do Bosch even make CD Changers?)

Robert Bosch, used to own Blaupunkt, so it could be a CDC2 ??

Still need a bit more info ... The actual player - in the dashboard - what does it have written on it .. NCDC2013 (I know it won't be that !!) but it WILL have letters and numbers etched into it !!
Likewise the CD player in the boot ... Blaupunkt what ?? CDC2 ???
With this info help can be given .. without it, could be one of a thousand combinations/problems .. :)

All it says on the cd changer in the boot is blaupunkt cd changer? It has a blue dot in front of Blaupunkt .
All there is on the dash board is the cd selction button along with radio and tape selection. the cd changer holds six cd's. The car is an S reg omega elite 3 ltr. thats all the info I can come uo with unless I'm missing something!? :question

The words CCRT700 or CCR800 might help - on the head unit.

The two different CDC2 use similar mech. Sounds, to be honest, like the microswitches on the mechanism.
Dave DND can repair these, but might be cheaper to simply pick up new unit from one of the breakers on this site. Beware, if you do replace the unit, although they look identical, there are 2 different, incompatible types fitted to the Omega, hence why people ask which headunit is fitted.
