Title: Window Close sensor
Post by: harpersimon on 15 July 2010, 23:40:49
Hiya
I obviously have a window closing sensor issue - rear nearside window goes up.. and when about 4 inches from the top, goes down again when you are holding the button
makes it a pain to close, possible only by flicking the switch up to close it cm by cm! - are these easy to repair? anyone got any advice?

I had exactly the same issue last year and found if i lubricated the guides at the sides of the window with WD40 or similar it cures it for a while  :y

'The sensor is part of the motor mech. and can't be changed seperatly. I've always used taylor's chalk in the runners or a light silicone spray. Check that the rubber channel for the window hasn't been disturbed and is fitted properly first though.
