Title: Aerial problems
Post by: Omega 37 on 28 July 2010, 13:19:01
My 2.2 uses the rear demist in the rear window as an aerial (I think)
It is a 2000 facelift model but I have noticed that vauxhall fitted a roof aerial to cars produced in 2000 & on.
The problem is that I only listen to am radio & it has crap reception. I want to fit an aerial but dont know where the cable is that goes onto the rear demist or whether I could use the cable for the new arial?
Can anyone help!!! :-/

The 'bee sting' Ariel you see is for the GSM phone kit, not for radio  :y

Do you have a standard fit radio?

I have put in a parrot but was the same with the 2006 multi cd radio.
My dads car is the same but about 6 months newer than mine. It has an aerial on the roof. His is a cd as apposed to my cdx so has the single cd radio, no phone kit  :-?

Aerial amplifier with connections is under parcel shelf just behind centre headrest. You`ll have to remove shelf for access
