i'm breaking it up for bits
it has the very old type of ignition key ( 2 buttons / looks like a infra red lens on it )
did this modal have a transponder in the key for a imobiliser ?
ive stripped the plastic from around the column and there is no transponder round the ignition barrell :-/
the car has had a toad aftermarket system fitted ( a 200 plus ) before i got it
need to know because the diesel pump / ecu is coming out to sell so i can make some dosh for work on my v6
cheers steve

If it has a 214 or 215 ECU, the immobiliser is simple, no transponders.

just checked ............ its a 214 :y
i take it that it has no imobiliser circuit hence the last owner fitting the toad ?
is the ecu paired up with the diesel pump ?
if so, any idea what its worth ?
all moneys recieved will be going into the pink ones back pocket ;) ;D

The immobilser is a simple on/off single to ECU. Pump not paired, but there is a complex chart of which ECUs can be used with which pumps. Gnerally newer ECUs can use older pumps.
