Title: Depairing CID
Post by: joshwyatt on 05 August 2010, 16:16:58
To remove a CID from an Omega, do you need the car pass? I know it's a tech2 job as it's coded to the HU and the car, but if a tech2 is plugged in, can you simply put it in delivery mode and then remove it from the original vehicle ready to be fitted to another Omega?

its not a simple tech2 to de-pair it, it has to be (as you say) be put into 'Delivery Mode' TB has a way of doing it but its not guaranteed to work, it could make the CID toast...

Fairly certain you need the car pass, unless your moving both the CID and HU together, probably wrong, no doubt will find out.
