Hello, I've just joined this site because I've gotten hold of a new car! It's a 1999(T) MV6 auto saloon and will replace my current 2001 CDX Vectra 2.0 diesel.
I've just re-connected the power sounder and the other alarm horn because they were disconnected, I can only assume the alarm was going off for no reason so the previous owner had disconnected them.
I'm a little nervous now though because of stories read on another web site about the power sounders in Vectra 'b's, apparently a few owners have had them overheat and nearly cause fires.
Do the power sounders in the Omegas suffer from this problem? How likely is it that my Omega will burst into flames in the middle of the night!?
Thanks in advance. :y

yes, same as vec-b
Post 98 omegas have better fuse setup, but if its faulty, bin it.

I've just been out and rolled the car to the end of the drive... :P

As some of you may know, this car has been off the road for around a month. The power sounder is still connected and working normally.
I'm sort of hoping it does decide to burst into flames as that would allow me to raise some funds via the insurance company!!
