Hi everyone, hope you doing well
I am driving an MV6 1999 Opel Omega B with X25XE & Automatic gearbox, I had no problem with the electrical system; but now after swapping the engine with a (1JZ-GE) plus its auto gearbox and its ECU and the loom, the two lights of the ABS & TC came on, I think it is an electrical connection problem do you have any ideas, PLEASE??
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Did you change the transmission type also?
The a.b.s. e.c.u. needs to know which type of vehicle it is installed in, if you changed the transmission too you may have confused it!

Not with Vauxhall badges on anyway. Opel may well have done so...

The ABS/TC needs to communicate with the engine ECU, and as the engine you have fitted is a Toyota engine, I'm guessing that's not happening any more? :-/

Hello again, thank you so much for your interest, basically when I did check the documents of my car it came originally with an (X30XE) not an (X25XE) but sounds like the previous owner changed the engine only with the (X25XE) one without changing the management system (ECU & its loom), the bad news you gave me guys made me fell bad and sorry for swapping the engine; because you said the ABS & the TC will not work anymore with TOYOTA engine, is there any hope?????????????? PLEASE :(

Well, the ABS might work, as it doesn't need communication with the engine ECU. Traction control does require the engine ECU to have the facility to reduce power at the request of the ABS/TC ECU so the 2 have to talk together. I wouldn't mind betting that this interface is a proprietary Bosch interface and that it won't therefore work with any other engine ECU.
Whether the ABS still works depends on whether the ABS/TC ECU still enables that functionality with this fault present.
