Is there a cd player that will go in in place of the ccr 600,(Tape & cd changer) that will work with dash display?cd changer's pooped, won't spit out cartridge
-
not really....
You can go for a more modern cd player, with mp3 etc functionality, with interfaces to talk to the steering controls and MID display.
But you wont fine another tape player with changer you can just replace the oem stuff with.
-
So all the prefacelifts just had changers?is it hard to wire the display into an aftermarket headunit?
-
the new headunit has to have 'sub display out' or similar....
IIRC...Pioneer (definatey), Sony, Kenwood, Alpine all do models that can be fully linked in, with an extra adaptor.
We both have Pioneer units with CD, MP3 etc, Bluetooth phone kits, mine has USB too, along with (a what is now expensive) adaptor to link to the mid and steering controls. no tape ability though (not an issue here, but is for some I know)

ah, i got ya, cheers for that,
Can get adapter from ebay or is it from vaux?
-
they are specific to the manufacturer of the stereo...so your ICE supplier really should be able to do both (if they cant move on to one who can :y )
think mine both came from 'incarexpress' but davednd, or many other shops should be able to sort you out :y

Cheers :y :y

Can be changed for a CDR500, but that is a particularly naff stereo...
