Hi, on my 3.0 elite the digital speedometer is not working properly, e.g: says im going 45mph on the onboard display and im actually going 75. Is this an easy fix? Help appreaciated, thanks.

What happens when you reset it? (its average speed).
-
I have reset it many times, and the same thing happens :(
-
Could have been swapped from another model, but wouldn't have thought it would be that far out though.
Pressing and holding both stalk buttons will reveal the MID's programmed details in a form of numbers, fairly sure theres a table on here somewhere that translates it.

There is no digital speedo.
The fuel computer/trip computer has an Average Speed reading - this is the overall average speed since it was last manually reset
-
Ahh ok, but if you say it is an average speed reading, i went on a 200 mile run the other day and put it on cruise at 75, it was saying the average speed was 22? :-? and yes i did reset it before the run
It is slightly misleading, surely it would of been better for vx to put Av. Speed instead of just speed. Oh well :P
But yes like you say, it may be swapped from another model or something. Thanks for all your help.

All the average figures have a strange symbol like a theta, which I have always assumed shows that they are a time average. Perhaps somebody can shed light on this?
:question
