hi dave
just acquired a ccr 2006, no code though :-/, serial number is gm0206x1004220, can you help please?
also the radio wiring has a red, brown, orange with red stripe and pink with red stripe these have no connectors on them, do they go to steering wheel controls?
thanks in advance :)

I can only decode the CCR2006 if it is sent over to me, as unfortunately, that model cannot be decoded by its serial number

Not sure about the wiring colours you are on about - maybe someone will be able to point you at a wiring diagram for your car so that they can be identified.

Indeed - from what I understand, the CCR2006 from an Omega can have the BOSE enabled/disabled using Tech2, however, a CCR2006 from a Corsa or Vectra does not have BOSE capability.
:-?

thanks for the replies guys, bit confused now :( the 2006 came out of an omega, what would be the problem whether it was bose enabled or disabled?? and i wont be able to check this without the code to try it will i ? mind you i can still get to the car it came out of so is there anything that would give me a clue in that? ie bose amp or something ? and if anyone has a wiring diagram that would be a great help :y

A car with BOSE amp and speakers (sub on shelf, or rear if estate) will need BOSE head unit to run them.
If you just have the standard door speakers, then a BOSE head unit can not be used.
The Omega version of the CCR2006 can be confirgured for either setup by use of a Tech2 programmer

In my experience, simply being from an omega does not mean it has the configuration option for Bose. Seems to be pot luck. Obvious all of the elite ones have the setting

Yep, totally agree with what you are saying TB, but other than the ones fitted to the Omega, BOSE was never an option on any other car that used the same stereo - not to say that Non-BOSE ones don`t end up in there though.
Just trying to add to your previous observations that not all of them can be reconfigured.

It seems, the more I see, the vast, vast majority are the non configurable ones :'(

TB,
Out of curiosity, have you ever encounted one where the BOSE could NOT be deactivated, ie: BOSE only ?
:-?

Nope, never.
It seems there is one that is non-Bose only, and the other is configurable to be either.

Since you pointed that out, I have now tried the CCR2006 units from Vectra and Corsa, and neither of those were configerable
