Title: Bloomin Key fob/alarm again
Post by: FoxyV6 on 22 September 2010, 19:34:19
My key fob is really starting to get on my wick (the back and forth to open the door without the alarm blaring)
i got the main key off James eventually, changed the battery, followed the handbook on synchronising it and it STILL isnt working. But it will start the car etc. Anyone got a clue ???
is it because it was so long without been synchronised. Im getting peed off with it now and want it fixing. All i want is to be able to get in without all this hassle

Starting the car is a function of the key shape and the immobilisor chip

Unlocking the car is a function of the transmitter built in to the keyfob, and the reciever in the car.

I would strongly suggest sending the key to Martin Imber who will check and repair the electronics of the fob for you for around £10.

If the key is proved good and still doesn't work its the car...  expensive .... :(

Sounds like dodgy switches have finally given up .. get it to Martin... he'll have it back to you in perfect order in less than a week .. :)

I am sure you're on the right track to get your fob to Martin asap, my fob more or less worked for a while but the alarm started going off with no apparent provocation - Martin's fob rebuild sorted this, top service.
