Title: Code 55 Air Bag ECU

Where will I find this?  and will this affect the door locking system, because something is......

 ECU is under the centre armrest at the back.

Centre armrest of the front two seats, not the back seats.

Just had a look on ebay and there are lots that look the same but with different numbers, any advice please...... :)

Anything I need to know about replacing one?

Vamps i may have one here with the right ecu id. on philrich print out ecu id is ef :y :y

Sounds good to me :y  have you ever fitted one?

Whereabouts in Sunderland are you? district, not address... :D  Don't want to be spotted by the In Law's  ..... ;D ;D

I would have to look in my shed in daylight just to confirm,Ive never fitted one,but the area is ryhope :y

Ryhope, :D :D swmbo lived there when I met her ::) ::) I lived there for a while till we moved here 11 years ago, we still have some friends there... :y

Thats normally a sign its fired.

I think I have one from a 2000 2.5 Elite (facelift) if thats any help?

If its of any help, I can reset most airbag ECU`s once they have fired and reset the crash data back to "new"

Let me have your ecu details and I`ll see if its one that is on my database

That was my thought to

'fired' do you mean the air bags have gone off? no sign of anything and no accident damage, light came on after garage replaced the battery.......
