hi RobG
yup that is what i was doing, what happens is-----radio off----ign on (time and date on display)---press as button and turn radio on (date goes from display) no safe message or code input, but if i turn ign on turn radio on and then unplug radio and plug back in again i get safe message on display for approx 20secs then this goes to be replaced by nothing???????????????????

have you checked the fuse in the back of the radio(I think they have one) and that the radio power supply is present at the plug

hi guys
i have cracked it  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] got multimeter out and lo and behold had constant 12v and switched 12v, started to think that radio was duff when just on impulse removed radio from cage and plugged straight into radio, as if by magic up came safe followed by 10----,  a few minor adjustments to the cage with a pair of snips to allow the plugs to seat properly, put all back together and result code went in and music came out  :) passersby must have thought me mad dancing round the car in the rain whooping and hollering-----thanks for the input guys
