Title: Keyfob Lock button locks then unlocks doors
Post by: Welsh Dan on 26 October 2010, 19:26:57
Righto, one of the other problems i've found. I've just tried locking the car using the three button keyfob. It locked the doors, before unlocking them immediately. The car does have a flat battery, mainly as its been sat up for a few weeks/months without being used, so is this an issue that is related to a flat battery?

Secondly, anywhere to get an additional key from, other than the main stealers? I'd also need the keycode card, which I presume is dealer only?

try lubricating the lock mechanism & linkage rods inside the door first. Other than that, you might need a 'new' driver's door locking motor/solenoid.  :y

Depends where you live as to whether anyone local has a Tech II to programme fobs - new or second hand. Key cutters near me were reluctant to cut Omega type keys when I asked. Dealer only as you say for Car Pass.

I'm guessing you're not far from me, going by PMs?

Keys from egay, fob from dealer, tech2 from me.  Carpass from dealer, but shop around, as price varies from £15 to £50

I'm in Enfield, so you appeared to be the closest :)

I've sorted the lock issue now and it appeared to be related to a flat battery. Battery has been charged and the car taken on a good run, which has brought up one or two other issues.
