Omega V6 2.6 sidelights very dull. I'm hoping it's just a bad earth, but can't find where it connects to the body, any suggestions

Yep, they are

Replace the bulbs with high quality (not cheap eBay crap) WHITE LED 'bulbs'. They are white as opposed to yellow and are more noticable.
Remember, sidelights are not for 'illumination' just to make the car noticable when parked, or when natural light is dim.

As said, if buying l.e.d. type side lights then make sure they are good quality and rated at 5 watts, otherwise you'll have to drive around with the 'check' light lit up on the dash.

I have bought some Ice White single led ones to replace the yellow look. Not cheap nor expensive but it says nothing about the wattage so i will have to see how good they are. No 'check' display on mine as i have a GLS.
You can get what seems like a decent pair for £7-8.

Pretty sure lamp check doesn't cover front side lights :-/
