Title: ECC Temp sensors
Post by: Boditza on 14 December 2010, 07:55:09
Where are the climate control temperature sensors located at?? i would like to clean them a bit because i have a verry strange problem with the cars ecc. for example if i drive with the temp at 25 degrees celsius the fans are working, i stop the car, when i start it again the fans aren't blowing any more for at least 15 minutes of driving. if i turn the dial to 26 or 24 then to 25 again the fan starts to blow. the degrees are just examples.

They are in the vents i think, you can see them when you take out the vents. dont think they can be clean'd but may be wrong. :)

The interior temp senor is in the middle of the control panel for the ECC (the hole in the middle of it). There is a little fan in there that sucks in air to give correct temp. The sensors behind the vents are for the temp of air leaving the vents only.

Hi,
Ref the above reply.
The 2.6 and 3.2 do not use the small fan behind the hole in the middle of the controls idea. Nor is the interior temperature sensor behind there either. It is in the body of the air distribution unit near the vacuum operated air recirculation flap valve.
