so i've fitted my stereo with my ipod! and am now in the market for a new set of speakers my stereo is a pioneer 4x50w and i have an estate does anyone have any good suggestions i don't really want to go much over €200 for these! and am i right with my dimensions with 165mm front and 130mm rear i've been looking at the infinity reflection series any views? thanks rich.

Yes the dimensions are right.
Some members praised Infinity Kapa series.
I've got MacAudio in the front and Kenwood component in the back and are pretty pleased (they were pretty cheap also).
Also I would suggest some better Magnat components if you can find them.

Space is tight in the front doors due to clearance between the back of the speaker and window glass.
Rainbow SLX265s worked for me (just) on a Corsa mounting adaptor with about 6mm of extra spacing (made a ring of MDF to go between speaker and adaptor).

Also the incline of the speaker adaptor is not right.
Omega speakers have a plastic inclined suround ring while the speaker adaptors are flat.
This needs a little modification if you buy speakers with a larger magnet

This is where the Corsa speaker adaptor comes in. It's angled already but just needs the speaker to be spaced away from the door a little more. :y

thanks for the replies i have ordered the infinity reflection series as the kappa series were twice as much i have coaxials for the back and components for the fronts i've read that the crossover needs to have special mounting ie not on metal is this for all crossovers or with passive crossovers does it not make such a difference? thanks again for the replies, Rich.

Ideal place for crossovers is in the arm rest. There's a huge chunk of polystyrene in there. Cut out a hole for the crossover using a hot wire, so it's a nice snug fit.
