Hi,
I've just fitted my "nightbreakers" and after first run today in the dark i noticed that the reflector part of the headlight wasn't flush, with a gap of approx 5mm to the right hand top side of the right light and the same gap with the left hand top side of the left light :o :o (whilst stood in front of car)
Is this right ??? or have they dropped ?????? :-/ :-/
Cheers

Grab the back of the dipped beam bulb. If you can push the reflector back & forth you`ve busted the adjusters when fitting the new bulbs
-
Yep the whole lot moves around :o
I didn't move them that much, what are they made of, cheese ??
(lol).
Can they be fixed ????
Thanks
-
Adjusters go brittle. They can be fixed by replacing said adjusters with ally ones.http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1271424451
Got a pair of lights with adjusters intact for £50 posted but you take your chance as to whether the adjusters get damaged in the post

Just for show and clarification :-/

mine are like this, does mean the adjusters have gone on this as well ??
TIA
-
Not necessarily. Send him a question, ask if the reflector moves back & forth. The pair I`ve got look exactly the same as that but the adjusters are in intact. problem with the mig lights is that some people offer them for sale not even knowing that the adjuster is busted
-
Thanks Rob, i meant the gap just to check ??
i'll have a look again tomorrow morning.
If i need to replace them i'll buy yours and collect them, don't trust the post with something that fragile.
Fingers crossed i might have a run down to Bristol soon, go to Clevedon (BS21) now again with work.
Cheers mate :y

Gap looks normal but doesn`t mean adjuster is OK. Here`s pics of mine with the adjusters OK.

same thing happened to me. I adjusted it "too much" with the screwdriver :)
i took the headlight out. luckily it was broken near the "long lights" (don't know how the "not-city-lights" are called in english, sorry) and I was able to repair it with some super glue and some pincers.
good luck

Long lights = Main beam
Short lights = Dipped beam
