Does anyone know if the aluminium headlight adjusters are still available?

Yes I looked at that Rob, but Sparksandnoise has not been on very much. I have e-mailed him. I need one  urgently having failed the MOT today due one being broken. :y

Yes they are.
I ordered one on friday, and asked for special deivery.
arrived 7am saturday morning.
just in time for the MOT at 9am

are easy to follow.
I didn't put new sealer on when I rebuilt the headlamp, just heated up (hair drier) the old sealer to make it sticky again.
admittedly, it *was* 8.15am, and I had the MOT booked for 9am, so didn't have time to go buy any, but it seems to be stuck solidly enough.

I'd be interested if your adjuster was as bad as mine -
it had all the physical attributes of a particularly stale dry piece of toast crust - or a cornflake - to the point where it just crumbled in my hand as I was trying to bodge rebuild it with epoxy putty.

Really, really stupid material to make a part out of.

Fitted the new ally adjuster received by overnight post, so back for the retest on Monday. For interest the old one was just cracked across the section with the screw thread. Changing it was relatively easy thanks to Jimbob's excellent 'How to'. I shall change the other as a precaution. The bad news was that one of my nearly new Nightbreakers, the H1, did not survive my, very gentle, removal of same. Many thanks JB :y :y :y

Update: After passing the MOT retest, having failed for the n/s broken adjuster, I replaced the second, and found that it too was already broken, which the tester had missed.

A tip for others, I measured the adjuster position with a caliper before removing my broken ones, and the aim on replacement seems perfect.

Another big-up for Jimbob's 'How to'. :y :y :y
