Hi,
Our radio has started to loose volume after about an hours driving, a quick switch off and back on restores the volume for another hour or so. The CD has stopped working as well showing "No Disc"
Any ideas why and what is the fix?
Thanks

Is it just the volume you lose, or does the set switch off?
-
The volume gradually fades away, a quick push of the on/off switch restores the original volume set.

Sounds like the internal memory has died / corrupted - close call whether more economic to repair or replace though.

pretty sure i have a spare sc804 & cd player in my shed.

Thanks Dave, I feared it would be a replacement job. :'(
John, do you have the code to go with the unit & how much do you want for it?
-
I've also got an 804 head unit with working blaupunkt changer and code if needed.

Any chance I can take one of these SC804 head units and CD changers off either one of you? The wifes Elite has a SC804 which won't control her CD changer. My SC804 controls her changer but her SC804 won't control my CD changer (both cars '95 Elites!) I bought another SC804 but this didn't work either! Would you have a cage for one of these head units as well as the original is missing when the previous owner put an after market head unit. Thanks.
