Hello, I've got a problem with my Omega B Caravan -99 GL 2,5 v6.
When I bought it it had Xenon which I assume was factory installed but I am not sure (The lamp controller lacks the level adjuster which strengthens my beliefs that it was factory installed)
A bit after I got it, I installed a couple of new headlights which I bought from Germany but these didn't have Xenon so I had to use the same lamp adjusters as I had before but got new bulbs.
But after that the lamps are aiming in strange directions, not straight forward as expected.
I have tried to adjust it with the two screws that are to adjust the hight and the lateral of the beam.
Anyway, its high time for the cars first survey and since the beam is way of I am very sure that it won't pass.
I was at the junkyard and got a couple of new adjusters from a sedan Omega and from another Omega Caravan and they both looked smaller but none of them were alike each others strangely enough.
So I got 3 types of adjusters and I was wondering which one should I got with?
Is there anything I've missed? Why is the beam so f**k up?

The plastic adjusters inside Omega's headlights fail ie the get fragile & break.

Hoepfully that clears it a bit.

you've not read the link ;) The ally adjusters live INSIDE your headlights. Remove the black rubber cover from the back of your light, can you easily move the reflector? It's quite likely you will be able to. :y

So sorry Andy, I had looked at that very thread before but always thought the metal part were to replace the white plastic tip of the motors.
But I was wrong.
Maybe you are right Andy about that, I will order a couple and have a look but since the new headlights surely would have a couple of black plastic adjuster them self, can they really have broken after less then a year?
The headlights I bought from Germany was completely new.
But I recall that I could move the reflector from the very start, maybe it never were attached?

I don't know. Are the adjusting points on the top of the lights actually doing anything?

I think that there can be a problem with the small gear at the back of the light not turning properly :-/

How much should the adjusters screws be able to move the beam on 3.5 feet distance?

It does take a LOT of turns of the adjusters to get an appreciable movement of the beam. Beam adjustment is bets done against a wall/garage door, make a mark at the height of the lamp and then move the car back 3 or 4 metric yards ::) and adjust the dipped beam so that the flat bit is level with your mark. You should see a beam pattern something like _____/ ______/ (ie opposite pattern to a RHD car ;))

I only do metric if I really have to. ;) ;) ;) I do my height in ft & inches, weight in st & lbs, I work out my fuel consumption in mpg, our road speed limits are in mph, when it's hot day when it's 'in the 90s' so Java can check his car 3 or 4 yards from the garage door. ;) ;) ;) ;)

I will look into it very soon.
Also if the adjust screws ain't doing it, I will try to replace the adjusters inside the lamps.
Hopefully will this do it, or else I am out of ideas.
