bad news, that headunit will blow itself, and or the speakers connected to your car.

You need different wiring, and speakers to replace a bose setup with aftermarket.

Sorry  :'(

You don't want a 2005, they are weak and not suitable for Bose.

Not all 2006's are Bose supported either, ideally you want a NCDC 2013/2015

yes but will need to swap red and yellow over  :y

NO if you are using an aftermarket h/u you will have to replace all the speakers as they are only 2ohm and bypass the amp  :( then you can use the speaker plug in h/u  :y

problem with bypassing the bose amp and wiring the speakers to a aftermarket unit, is they sound crap, not even half as good as normal speakers as they aint amplified. best bet do a complete change of the audio bits!!

The BOSE speakers are incorrect impedance for an aftermarket head unit and MUST be changed

All you had to do is run a phono and switch line from the h/u to the bose. and keep eveything as it is. this can be done because i have done it.

Just because you have done it - does not mean it will last - read the previous threads of the forum and you will see exactly what damage is being done by trying to integrate anything aftermarket with BOSE

I would strongly advise anyone reading to disregard this recent comment

No doubt if you want to run all the speakers you will need an amp as well as the head unit as there are 6 speakers, or am I wrong?

technically you are correct, however, the problem is that the speakers are all 2 Ohm, and not that powerfull, so if you did manage to find a six channel 2 Ohm amp, and they do exist, the power output would be far in excess of what the speakers could take and you would be back at square one.

The way the BOSE stuff has been designed, it will only function with other BOSE equipment, and the voltages and impedances incorporated do not play well with anything from the aftermarket world.

Use BOSE or use Aftermarket stuff -
BUT NEVER TRY MIXING AND MATCHING
