Title: another one for davednd
Post by: fiend61 on 20 May 2011, 17:40:42
is it true that the cr 2006 once having lost power you can only input the radio code but not the cd code??  :-/
i have one at the moment that allows me to code the radio but cd is dead, if you press cd the screen goes blank then it reverts straight back to radio, or am i being stupid (once again)  :-/

CCR2006 does not need a seperate CD code and you only have to enter the one code to get the unit to work if you have power disconnected !!

If its asking for one by saying "CDC-SAFE" then you have an internal software fault.

details here

 :y

PS, screen going blank and reverting back to radio would indicate a serious changer fault - Jammed or even FUBAR   :'(

put cartridge in with a cd - press cd and radio mutes, radio station goes from screen but then nothing for a few seconds then reverts back to radio  :(
it also wont eject either  :(

CDC-SAFE is about the only fault on these that can still be fixed - if you still have the unit, it may be worth getting it looked at, as could be "sellable" once repaired

 ;)
