Title: BOSE system installation
Post by: gsizoli on 14 June 2011, 21:13:29
I would like to install a BOSE system to a facelift car tomorrow, the speakers, amp  and cable loom installation have already done. i need info where can i find a postive lead for the amp? The wiring diagram mentions F6, but there is no cable in it (both cables are missing from the place of F6)...so I can install 2 cables to that place but where can I connect the input 12V to the Fuse? (output is OK that will go to the amp through a 20A fuse)
I would be grateful for any idea or experience ..
Thanks

The easiest way to do this is to run straight through to the battery and fit a suitable fuse at the battery end.

I separated the thick red cable and then spliced in another one (solder joint with heatsink), managed to squeeze it through the hole in the bulkhead that's in already in place for the rear washer pipe for the estate version.

Hope that helps
