Am I right in thinking the facelift cars with side airbags have a lateral impact sensor in both front doors? If so, at least I know why the light is on (I had the door loom apart at the weekend and turned the ignition on when the connector wasn't properly seated).
Am I also right in thinking that the only thing able to reset it is the Tech2?

tech2, or other good code reader / resetter :y

Aha, I wonder if the MaxiScan MS509 can do it.. I'll have to plug it in and find out :) Would save me a trip to Kevin to fix my mistake :-[

Generic ODBII readers, such as Maxscan, can't.

Not sure about "My Naff Code Reader" though ?
:-/

"My Naff Code Reader" deffo does :y

"My Naff Code Reader" can, but seeing as its not legal in the UK (the only authorised importer rebrands them), it would break our guidelines, so we can't really talk about it.

Erm . . .
Not all of us are using Illegal ones !!
You would be amazed at some of the "official" kit we have.
Just aquired a Tech3 (needed for programming the Insignia )

I am amazed. Wasn't aware anything other than GDS2 software on a PC with MDI interface would work. :-?
