as above I got problem with mine ncdc2015 sat nav disc stuck, what its safe way to take cd off??
by the way when press botton sat nav on head unit say please insert CD
any idea welcome :y
thanks

i guess the safest way woul;d be to get the unit out remove top cover and see if you can push it out
-
I'd say it was knackered :P
The only time I've seen those top CD drives jam, its because the mechanism has distorted (or something else caused the jam, and the motors themselves then distorted mechanism).

Be careful when you take the facia off - its so easy to break the brittle clips.

It can often be caused by the laser failing to see the disc inside, and therefore doesnt know if there is one in there or not.
Try this:
Remove stereo for two hours, refit and then press the eject button before anything else bursts into life - this can often make the disc eject normally.
;)
And before anyone asks, No, we no longer service the NCDXXXX range as parts are now non-existant
:'(

ok wil try and see what happend :y
so replace laser can sort out problem???
thanks

There have certainly been occurences where they have sprung into life long enough to get disks out.
also heard no complaints from those who have gone down the laser replacement route. :y

hope this gets sorted for you. would a bent disc cause problems? probably laser recognition issue as mentioned; laser not recognising disc is already inserted :-?

worth a try without opening anything. Mines only jammed once, NCDC2013, i put in 1/4 of another disc (entrance) and kept pressing the eject at the same time, it just spat it out? then see the cd had a sticker on it which mustv either stuck or confused the unit. HTH :y
