Hi all, wondering if anyone could advise me what the functions of the courtesy light is?
I noticed last night that the courtesy light does not come on when the engine is turned off. It comes on when doors are opened, and times out fairly quickly when they are all closed. Should it not stay on until the engine is started?
Just wondering what other peoples cars do as thought a top end car like this should have these little added extras!

Yours seems as though it's working as it should. Why do you need it to turn on as you turn your engine off? That'd be no good for the dark country lanes ....... ::) ::) ::)

It would be good. Last night when I pulled onto my drive I had to open the door before I could find my wallet etc. Realise that is not difficult, neither is pulling the light switch out, just used to the interior light coming on when the engine turns off in my work Transporter van, Land Rover Disco and Saab.

I managed to solve this problem with my Omega in 2 easy steps....
1. Drive the car
2. Get out when you want a drink
Simples!! ;D :y :-X

I'm with you Twiglet. In all the years I've been driving, I've never ever missed having a cup holder, none of my cars have ever had one. ;) ;)

Blimey, Mr B, we agree (although slightly bending truth, as I've had 2 facelifts, which have a single half-arsed cup holder under armrest as an afterthought

Shit, and I had a Focus heap of junk. That had some. Idea for using as a litter bin...

I thought we only had differing opinions of the function/working of the cam belt tensioner ;) ;) ;)

Doubt I would. I don't drink much in the way of fizzy pop & I only ever take the rest of my morning brew with me if I go to work in the auto Omega.
I miss the chilled glove box of my Senator, never ever got round to looking for the bits from a pre minifacelift glovebox to chill mine :y
