Title: NCDC2013 & CID Question?
Post by: sultanhq on 16 September 2011, 17:07:01
Hi,
I'm soon to be the proud owner of a 2013 & CID, but i read somewhere that it will need programming to the engine type / engine size & tyre size to get mpg and trip meter correct...

Is this true and if so, is anyone in south london as my local once handy stealership wants £130 just for my car to talk to tech2!!! >:( >:( >:(

Many thanks and Beers for someone who can help program...

Cheers
Rob.

From south London I'd say Kevin Wood in Hampshire will be your nearest :y

Yep. :y

Make sure anything you buy is a matching set paired together or in delivery mode, though.

Yes, the figures will be well out ;)

If Hampshire is too far for you then it's the local staler I'm afraid ;) The nearest Tech 2 to me is around a 300 mile round trip and I'd still go to someone who knows what they're doing over a Vx Stealer any day of the week ;)

You'll probably also need the Bose disabling. That's 2 things for the stealers to get wrong!!  ::)

I'm good thanks Chris. Albs passed on the message mate, no worries!

I've been flat out busy myself lately with the wife and baby, so I haven't even had time to get your door cards and carpets out yet.

I'll try and get that sorted next week, and I'll see you soon!  :y

Oh don't worry Chris, priorities are all in order. I'm loving every minute of my time with her! But babies do sleep alot, so there are a few minutes here and there when the Omegas get a look in.  :y

This looks interesting ....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-OPEL-CID-RADIO-DISPLAY-PROGRAMMING-/310205963260?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item4839b75bfc#ht_2149wt_905

We will reprogram your display back to New unmarried state so when fitted back into your vehicle it can be married to the car/radio with Tec2 programmer.

Avoid Crownhill Evans Halshaw. They are positively the worse dealer ever. Their parts dept are shite (non existent now), and their service department is run by somebody who clearly doesn't understand he is there to serve the customer, and the monkey technicians are incompitent.

No garage will be able to depair the stereo stuff without the pairing code - they don't have the knowledge or the equipment ;)

And that includes the official  Dealerships as well.

No Pairing codes = Expensive Paperweight
