That doesnt drive ::)
I am unsure if this is feasable.
Its an oil cooler failure omega that doesnt start ( i havent tried it or seen it for that matter but have bought it) due to having a dodgy battery. Lets assume therefore it wont start.
It has front brakes possibly siezed.
Now i am getting it lifted - thats fine as it will winch on to the truck and wheels will drag - possibly even freeing themselves.
Now - what happens when it gets to me IF it doesnt start to run it off the truck - i cant winch it off at my end.....
Only thing i can think of if it doesnt start is to try and tow it off the truck with a tow rope with the cherokee.
Feasable ? :-/

Ive just had one `mare after another this weekend so it wouldnt surprise me if it isnt feasable - car was meant to be here yesterday :(
Btw James ( seperate subject) im afraid it sold this morning for £185 !!!!!!! and that included 10 months tax :-X

Might be worth a squirt of plus gas on the front disks to help them free up (assuming it's all going to get replaced?).
Can you not rope it to something solid and get the truck driver to drive off? :y

Apply one well charged battery and crank it off on the starter in second....assuming it has a proper gearbox of course!
How do front brakes seize anyway.....its not like the handbrake where they are applied when sat.....

Kevin - That something solid may well be the 4litre Grand Cherokee - i`ll just drag its a$$ off with a towrope.
Im thinking that if it winches onn the truck it will toe off - cant be much more power in a winch than there is in that Jeep.
Just scared it arrives (eventually) and I/we cant get it off :-X

I'm sure it'll be fine. As Mark says, there's very little chance of the fronts siezing too badly anyway so I'd wager they'll have freed up then.
I'd be a little concerned about trying to drag it off the transporter with another car in case it suddenly gives, hence tie the Omega to something fixed and move the transporter. I'll be very surprised if the fronts haven't freed up anyway.

Okay
The Omega has oil cooler failure.
Seller has told me that its stood for 8 months and despite attempting to jump it wont start although it turns over a little. Presumes battery obviously.
He and a mate have been unable to move, ot wont budge, it and think the from brakes are siezed. Has tried to jump it from his other car which is only a 1.4 Citreon - surprisingly it doesnt start with that power ;D
Now due to my own commitments i cant get to him to evaluate his diagnosis or replace battery to see if it works or to remove the wheels and free calipers/pads/ as appropriate.
Now this car is "free to a good home" and i though nothing of getting someone to pick ip up and bringing it to me. "Seller" is moving on Friday so i dont/ cant create the time to get there.
Now today i am panicking that if it cant and wont move and we drag it onto a truck how do we get it off at my end.
I think i may have to cut my losses with this one :'( as i have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that after getting it delivered at 930pm in the dark and rain that it wont move with a new battery and 8 months of siezed brakes and possibly lost alloy locking wheel nut may be too much to overcome...particulary with some cowboy truck driver standing like a spare at a wedding worrying about his next job :-/

I think it'll be OK. My guess is that the wheels will unsieze as soon as he starts dragging it with the winch. Have a can of plus gas ready in case. I could imagine the handbrake siezing, but not the front disks.

reverse winch it is the easiest way (put a pulley block at the bottom of the bed and run the winch cable round that and then back to the front of the car)

Just make sure if you pull it off with the Jeep that it don't catch you up when it comes off the lorry and ends up in the back of the Jeep :-/

A few hours on and i think i have bottled this....just a gut instinct telling me "there may be problems ahead"
Im sick of relying on other people to collect cars and remove them for me - the guy that was meant to pick this up didnt show - thus allowing me to mull it over.
Once I MOT the Cherokee im going to buy a trailer and depend on.....ME only :y

Update on this.
The omega has arrived, in the dark, over 2 nights ive removed the siezed wheels, pads and calipers - all 4 brakes were siezed.
This allowed us to get the omega (2.5 gls 98 plate with 89k) moved to me tonight.
It needs two new cats ( supplied) and a fair bit of spraying - its also oil cooler belly up ::)
Total cost of car including uplift was £85 quid :y
