Title: CAR TAX DISK

Hi eveyone,

Quick question for you.

Im a taxi driver by trade and have jus realised that someone has stolen my tax disk from the windscreen, I dont know why they have done this or to what they expect to get from it but i have a problem,

The car tax runs out end of may so not long left on there but what do i have to do to get a new one and how much will it cost me

ring the police and contact the DVLA, best option

What the chap above says.  DVLA will issue a duplicate.  Meantime, you are still cannon fodder for a traffic warden/taliban.  Two seperate offences - 1) failing to have a disc and 2) failing to display same.  You have an excuse for 1) - report to the Police to get a crime reference number - but 2) is complete.  Avoid parking on a public road until replaced as well as expecting a stop from Trafpol if they spot it missing when you are on the move....
