Title: fuel consumption
Post by: bigboykarl on 01 March 2008, 12:54:06
hi ,
my weekly milage is about 440 miles which includes about 250 of fast motorway at 90 ,,,80 miles of 70 mph motorway 40 miles of 50 mph dual carr and 70 miles of urban,i do this using just below a tank average about 32mpg this i'm quite happy with as my other 2 cars (galaxy 2.3 auto, saab 900 turbo convertable)managed between 20-22 mpg over the week meaning the omega is about £30 cheaper to run...is the mpg on the omega  about right and would a auto use much more fuel

i have a just over a quarter of a tank left and she has done 285 miles so is that good consumption???

i would say 200 of those miles were split into two journeys done buy hubby. the other 80 so miles were town miles

I average about 22mpg out of my 2.6 manual, but I have a heavy right foot... on a motorway run it'll do an easy 32mpg.
