Title: Bad Day
Post by: The Elite on 01 March 2008, 21:57:47
It's the mrs's birthday today and we picked up her new car, a silver X-reg Polo GTi. She had it 2 hours and some muppet ran into the car behind her and that in turn has shunted her Polo! She's had to go to hospital suffering from whiplash. To make matters worse the silly bint in the middle car tried to blame the mrs because she stopped (FOR TRAFFIC) at the roundabout and then starts bitching her £300 shed of a corsa is more damaged than the Polo we just paid £4k for, at this point I lost it! Luckily the damage is limited to the rear bumper and probably the crash bar. Thankfully the mrs isn't to beat up, just very sore,  but what a crappy birthday!

Rant over...

Sympathies for a ruined birthday. At least this is a non fault accident on your Mrs. part. Milk the compo/courtesey car etc for all it's worth!

Sorry to here about that, hope your Mrs is ok.....
Look on the bright side a car can be fixed it could have been a lot worse.
As for someone running in the back, I thought if anyone runs in the back of you it is there fault!
Make sure she gets her whiplash claim in a couple of grand there  :y

Update:

Car has been to the bodyshop and they are prepairing the estimate for the insurance company. Solicitors have been in contact and are going ahead with the claim. The mrs is not so lucky, she can hardly move and is in serious pain, so a trip to her GP was in order on the instructions of the doctor who saw her in A&E. Her GP thinks she has bad whiplash and thinks she has cracked her tail bone!
