I reckon they're smoking something stronger than the rest of us, pesonally. ::)

Either that or it's the "voluntary ID card" debacle rearing its' ugly head again. Voluntary..... unless you want to have a passport, drive a car, smoke a fag, drink beer, breathe, etc.

What a good idea and then there be no fag butts on the streets and out side pubs  :y they are smelly things and i hate it when people blow the smoke when you walk by them in the street .

yes but,

I don't like seeing beer cans thrown on the street.

I still like drinking beer though - does that mean I should have to pay a licence fee to drink it?

No!!

I think it's a crazy idea, and won't stop anyone who is determined to smoke.

They know that too, this is all about profiting from the taxpayer again !

If it was about health they would ban them or make them very difficult to purchase.

It is about being in control, partnered with tracking people and also hopefully making more money.

But then if they are thinking of this maybe they will forget to hemme motorists for a while ::)

It won't control who smokes them anyway, just who buys them. Black market will be rife. It'll be a nice little earner for someone to bring them in from the continent and sell to schoolkids at inflated prices.

The plan has so many holes in it it's unbelieveable.
