Freking Great!!, and guess what I bought last week as a little run arround for London???....
Vectra B Factory Fit LPG!
Suppose the next thing going be increased Duty on LPG after Aprils Budget, lets see £1.20 per litre sounds about right.
Why do I Bl**dy bother, gonna cut me Cats off my MV6 Now and pay me £8 congestion charge instead.
Sorry, just a little bit p*ssed off.

I still think execution for treason is best bet.

I KNOW I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LIVE A LONG WAY FROM OUR HORRIBLE CONGESTED CAPITAL BUT DUE TO PEOPLE LIKE RED KEN I WILL NEVER VISIT LONDON, AT ALL FOR ANY REASON. I KNOW TRANSPORT MANAGERS WHO ARE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING REFUSING TO DELIVER LOADS INTO LONDON, THE TIME IT TAKES AND THE HASSLE THE DRIVERS GET MAKES THE JOB NOT WORTH DOING. A PAL OF MINE WHO HAD JUST DELIVERED 22 TONS OF CONCRETE BLOCKS IN AN ARTIC WAS GIVEN A TICKET WHILE HE WAS REVERSING OUT OF A ONE WAY STREET ( THE ONLY ACCESS TO THE SITE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOO BIG TO TURNAROUND ) DESPITE HAVING A POLICE OFFICER CLEARING THE STREET AND MAKING SURE HE COULD REVERSE SAFELY!! YOU CAN BURN LONDON FOR ME.
-
The guy will end up strangling London. Those who can will take their business elsewhere and he'll end up with the dregs that remain. He should feel at home then.
The powers that be in this country won't stick to a policy long enough for it to make any difference. Any commitment they make can be reversed at the drop of a hat when they're short of a soundbite for tomorrow morning's news. >:(

Barsteward - Let's hope everyone votes for Boris in the upcoming elections - although he will probably have some equally evil ways of screwing the motorists - but hopefully will at least get rid of Red Ken.
-
that man has issues with every body and every thing I'am surprised the Government hasn't made his life a misery , he's doing them no favours at all. what i don't understand is how can one man have so much power. >:( >:(
-
Many years ago ken said in an interview that if he ever got to a positon of power he would make life hell for car drivers and owners, and that is just what he is doing. my company operates 2 lpg fuel vans and that news will cripple a small company like mine, and many others.
Ken is only interested in the sandel wareing, tree hugging, yougot knitters and lesbian gay communites, cyclists[ who never stop at red signals] anyway. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

i would the think that the leaderships of other major cities are rubbing their hands together with glee waiting for that day to come. Red Ken will be remembered as the man that did what the great fire ,the Germans could never do, break London .
-
I assume you have seen this Ken tax......introduced in Feb
http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2008/feb/04/travelandtransport.carbonemissions
I saw signs last month going to Heathrow......basically saying if you want to avoid the charge use the M25. The main route into Heathrow is a charge zone.
So basically if your a distributor of goods around London, getting charged £100/£200 a day :o Who's gonna be paying.......yep Joe Public >:(

London is one of the most polluted cities in Europe for tiny particulates, which exacerbate illnesses including lung disease and asthma, and road vehicles are responsible for two-thirds of this pollution.
Mostly thanks to his beloved buses driving around empty no doubt.
.. and the people who are using stinky old taxis having left their clean LPG powered cars at home.
Income is expected to be £5m-11m a year, while the scheme will cost £57m to set up and £10.7m a year to run.
So, taxpayers are going to be paying for the right to pay more for a while then?
Can't believe the Heathrow spur is included. All that cash to drive 3 miles from the M25. It'd be funny if it wasn't true.

The funny thing is (not)......since going to Heathrow the last few times.....i havent seen any lorries on the spur road and a lot less coaches/buses...
I suspect they are going around the M25 one junction from the M4 and going into Heathrow the back way.......prolly a further 5-10 miles........nice one :y Make them use more diesel and pollute more to avoid the charge >:(
-
Typical politicians, you can't trust any of them >:(.........on that point was in a meeting today, was told this is what will happen, but we can't say that's what we're doing ::)..I said well the same person makes comments in the local press contradicting himself, as I have e-mails from the same person saying the complete opposite >:(

Martin, did you miss the letters AT out of the last word on purpose or was it accidental?
Ken probably thinks that building products/food/furniture and all those other essential daily goods can be delivered by bicycle.

I assumed Policeman helpfull and a traffic warden did him
-
The police were very helpful. I meant the letters TW ( abbr. for traffic warden ) should have had the letters AT after them, to fully describe the robotic ticket issuer.
