Title: And Todays Bargain is.....
Post by: Markie on 17 October 2006, 16:34:32
Went to "poundland" where everything is......£1 Dont know if its a nationwide store but theres a few of them up here in Jock Land

rubber car mats - for yes you guessed it a a pound.

Now there not the sort of thing us classy omega drivers would put in our barges.

But if your selling a car or three like me............then it adds to the value or allows you to take the good mats out!!

Cant be bad for a pound  ;)

I am suspicious of everything being £1. I bet you can buy some of it for 99p elsewhere but they charge £1 to fit the name of the shop.

Still they have to make their profit somehow

I do a lot of 'fixing' in my job at a school. Nothing too technical, just running repairs. From poundland I bought:

Long nosed pliers
Big fat pliers
Screwdriver set
Allen keys(imp and metric in same set)
Claw hammer
Star keys
5m tape measure
Tool box
Open ended spanners

£1 each and still intact!

At that price it really doesn't matter if they only last a few weeks!! :-?

Christmas is coming...aarrrgghhhh..and the wife likes to decorate her school. If it wasn't for the £1 shop, we would fall out big time because she never claims anything back! It's her first port of call every saturday.
