Shadow chancellor Ed Balls wants to be the new Chancellor? A joke surely after the 'dangle berries' he made of his past job as a Labour Minister.
labour now are a joke and no amount of a new mandate, leader or posturing or change of logo will change that.
They now rattle out their old waffle with a few dots changed and expect us to swallow it.
They now admit they made 'some' (some? that is a joke in itself given the number they did make) mistakes while they were in power and I have no doubt that they will revert to their old ways if ever they do regain power. One thing Labour will never do because it is incapable of it is to change for the better.
Who got rid of the jobs in the first place? Who hired the Civil Servants until they all but out numbered the true workers who pay their salaries and pansions? Who robbed this counrtry blind? Who borrowed like money was no problem knowing that it was increasing the national debt to the point it almost bankrupted the country? All done with them having the full knowledge of its consequences too.
Do they think our memories are as short as theirs appear to be? How has Blair became the richest ex PM ever? Only one answer makes any sense! Strange how Brown has all but disappeared too! ;D ;D ;D

Just heard on the TV that Labour's Ed Balls has stated that they (he) can be trusted with the nations finances ;D ;D ;D
Has he never heard the term 'Once bitten twice shy'. Surely the second time bitten was more than enough to teach even the most staunch Labour supporters the truth that they can never be trusted again. Head in the clouds I reckon, or up his other end depending on his persuasion..... All he has done is to reinforce the decision that I made to move away from the Labour Party was the correct one.

I've got a more fundamental problem with him...
how could anyone possibly hope to make a good job of high office if they're called "Balls" ? Does he really every think he's going to make PM with that ?

I agree with everything you say there Bionic! The man has some gall to stand there advising on the economy after the balls up he made >:( No pun intended!
However, people have short memories and when they see their Labour council cynically cutting OAPs day centres and other essential services, rather than the lavish amounts they spend on non jobs etc It's the Tory government who get the blame..... >:(

Proven many times in the past. The out of office party just makes some claim about how they will 'improve' something for the masses (more than likely with no actual intent to do it) and everyone forgets about the previous messups >:(
Same old story, in the auditions they all sing the most popular song at the time but once they have made it, they just do whatever is in their own interests.
