So my F/L elite is blowing out heat from the drivers side and cold air from the passenger side. I have checked the motor as directed by some other guys on here and it seems to be operating, certainly from the motor side, arm connected to the motor and it moves when swicth on or off, but no change to the temps :(
Anyone help?

Try resetting it first mate - think you turn on ignition with auto pressed - but that's from memory. No doubt someone will confirm or otherwise :y
-
To reset aircon you press and hold both "Auto" & "Off" for 5 seconds, you will hear the fans shut down, then start up again :y
-
Yep remembered now press auto & off together for 5 secs - must be an age thing!!
-
Still turn the ignition on first though?
-
yes it has to be on, can be done with engine on or off :y
-
When I do as instructed it just turns system on or off, doesn't shut the fans down and restart as suggested :( :o
-
so the climate system is running, your are pressing auto and off and holding them both for 5 seconds? :-\
-
Yes mate :(
-
well thats the reset method :-\
-
Fudge! Lol will try it again shortly

No, defo isn't working. Any other possibilities?

When you do the reset you should hear a noise like you've just disturbed a nest of grumpy wasps! this is the sound of the motors resetting to default ;)
If still no heat & you are definate the control arm is attached to the motor, then it may have become detached further up at the air flap. If it has, I hope you have slim hands & a slow temper ;D

Don't know if this helps or hinders ... but my F/L Elite will NOT reset with the engine running. If I want to do a reset it HAS to be engine off, ignition on but not started, then OFF + AUTO for 5 secs.
I have no idea if this is (a) "normal", (b) a result of the software upgrade done some while back or (c) indications of a fault.
I do have a problem with the CC in that if I switch the engine off and restart it within abut 2-3 minutes then occasionally (about 1 in 10 times) I have no heat. It's not the HBV but could be an intermittent solenoid valve I guess .. I have some pre-used items but have not got around to changing them .. :)

I have tried with the engine running, not running, ignition on with ignition lights on, ignition lights off, keys not even in the ignition!! Every possible combination thinkable.
However bar the fans shutting down and starting up, I have heard the "angry wasps" sound as described.
so it's possible that the arm is off the flap then? anyone got a "How 2" for that? ;D
