Title: Alternator Knackered
Post by: faceache233 on 02 October 2011, 08:10:45
Hi guys, just a quick one. I'm moving house in 3 weeks time and was going to sell the omega around then hoping to get a bit of cash, but typically the alternator has just decided to not charge my battery as the recovery bloke told me last night. I'm really stuck and don't know what to do. Do I pay money to get it fixed so I can sell it for a little more or do I sell it for less with the current fault?  Can't believe this is happening right now. It's a Y reg 2.2 16v CDX Auto

depends what you feel the car is worth ??
if it was me i would by a second hand alternator,as a running car would fetch more money than a non runner imo.
im sure some one here will have a spare one for sale. :y

If it was my car I'd repair it before selling, the bits aren't expensive. You need a proper local auto spark if you don't do your own repairs.  :y :y
