Title: Rear seat removal / refit guide - saloon
Post by: i260 on 02 October 2011, 14:27:59
As per title, does anybody know if this exists anywhere (cant see it on the 'how-to' section).

Failing that any written instructions on where to start - remove base first?

Ta!

There should be x2 tab pulls at the bottom of the front of the seat base (if that makes sense), you pull on each one (unlocks the locking tab) and pull the seat base upwards, then pull out the seat base in a forwards motion to wards the back seats.

Oh and be careful to push the seatbelt anchors down through their holes.

Refit is reversal of above, but it can be a bit of a swine to push the seatbelt anchors back through the holes as there isn't much belt  :D .

Hope that makes sense and helps you out  :y

Damn there being no 'modifiy' button  >:(  ;D

Should of said "pull out seat base in a forwards motion towards the back of the front seats".  :y

To remove the back of the rear seat - start with the outer parts nearest the doors. there is a metal tab at the bottom (visible once the lower part of the seat is removed) which needs to be bent up to allow these two sections to be removed. The other 3 sections (2 seat backs and arm rest) are bolted in place at the bottom.Slightly awkward, but nothing technical. Replacement (as Haynes would say) is the reversal of removal.
Hope that helps. :y
