Just fitted twin ngk spark plugs cost £8.50 it sorted the problem
now a new problem it sounds like my manifold to the exhaust is whistling
-
fitted bosch super 4s in mine, been ok,the whistling or tapping coming from the exhaust manifold is more than likely a cracked or warped manifold, seems to be a common problem on the 2.2 petrol, needs the 3 layer gasket to... :)

Dont believe it ok last night test run 30 miles then went to work this morning 10 miles in problem started again could it be the coil pack

try cleaning the breathers and throttle body out...my 2.2 sometimess fires up and runs a bit lumpy first thing, then runs smooth after a few minutes,i cleaned breathers checked plug wells for oil, changed spark plugs, air flow meter and cam sensor, but still does it..although ive noticed when driving on the motorway, using kickdown to drop into 3rd to overtake,it does feel as though its holding back a little.been thinking ive a slight misfire on the coilpack, but not sure....the last time my rocker cover gasket leaked,it soaked the cam sensor, which it didnt like.cleaned it and ran much better...

When I accelerate fairly hard I am getting a slight miss, does not feel smooth. mpg is ok though. Fitted those ngk iridium plugs about 22k ago.

Yes done as above except flow meter runs ok on start up but a bit rough on acceleration
i will clean or change air flow meter at weekend

ive just bought a coil pack kit, consists of 4 rubber shrouds(as mine have been well cooked by oil in the past and destroyed the rubber)plus 4 new spring.also got new rocker cover gasket as its decided its going to leak from the back cam.grr
part number for coil pack kit is 9195820 genuine gm
genuine gm rocker gasket 555583549
i shall see if the new kit makes any difference :) once ive fitted it this weekend...
if not,looks like a new coil pack..doh...

Had my 2.2 now for 14 months and had and still got the f@@king problem replace every thing you have mentioned and had every breather pipe cleaned runs fine for a couple of days and like and old x wife comes back and bites your arse. If it wasn't for the fact that i love the Omega it would have by now met with my trustee sledge hammer. I am at a loss as to what it can be and as much as the forum guys do there best with there advise i think even they now have run out of ideas, hope you get it sorted and if you do pleaseeeee tell me what you did. Steve :-\

Sounds like it, a quick and not to expensive fix, but get a bosch part and not a copy one, or you may end up doing the job twice in as many weeks...... ::) ::) ::)
