now it the mv6 is missfiring, engine light comes on,ive checked all connectors, was running fine when i started it up after doing cam gaskets, got petrol went home, went back out and started fine, pulled away at a junction and then the miss firing started, any ideas please as i was ment to be going away at the weekend :'(

Had cam covers failed before? Had it been driven with oil in plugs? Its possible you've cooked the HT lead.
I'd do a paperclip/pedal test see which pot is miss-firing. Transfer HT leads, see if fault moves. If not could be DIS pack.
Did you use genuine gaskets?

as tunnie says :y plus check all plug leads firmly home and egr plug hasnt come adrift, i done exactly the same thing put everything back together started hr up and had a misfire and emissions light was on :( wondered what the hell i had done or what was wrong now :o took me ages but eventually noticed egr plug hanging down side of engine :-[

Random miss, and it must be a DBW, so would give individual cylinder codes as well...

Ok will go and check codes again :y
