Title: MOT Fail On new dampers
Post by: Omega 37 on 08 October 2011, 16:23:08
Well the car passed the MOT eventually :(
It failed on "nearside rear shock absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect" & "nearside rear shock absorber has a light misting of oil"

I explained that the car had 4 new GM dampers & springs fitted a few months ago,,,,,, hence the fact that they appear new & still have stickers on them  ???

The misting of oil was the wd40 that I sprayed around the bolts to keep the rust away!!!!!

He passed the car but I have an advisory with the above on it >:(

Good job I plan to run the car into the ground. Would put off a potential buyer  :y

Idiots
