Title: Thanks to the Mad Stokkie
Post by: TheBoy on 08 October 2011, 20:48:59
Spent the day up at Darth Loo-knee's unit, as we thought my oil leak was the front crank seal. Turns out that it probably wasn't that anyway, so back to drawing board. DLK resealed lower sump as a precaution as well :y

The majority of the day was spent replacing the ac compressor - what a pig that can be....  ....though we may have found an 'easy' way.

What a fun day it was too, spent most of the day laughing. Rest of the day drinking tea and scoffing the local speciality, oatcakes.

But if I never hear another Rick Astley song, it will be too soon  ::)

I put my bongo bongo tunes on on the way home, made good time ::)

Thanks Darth Loo-knee :y

Agree its a bit of a pig to swap - really needs 2 to reattach pipework to top - one to guide socket on from underneath and one up top to tighten (needs a couple of extensions!!)

Also found it awkward to remove/refit compressor - levering the anti roll bar a bit helped.

Most of the day?? :o ??? - took us around 3 hours including vaccing out and checking for gas tightness.

most of the day was travelling, he's not exactly around the corner ;)

'the longest job' was probably more accurate.

not gassed yet, neither of us have the equipment :y
