Ever wondered what the inside of your plenum breather box looks like?
Well I couldn't get mine ungummed, so i relaced it and got the old one split apart.
Hopefully the link to photobucket will work

How easily did it split?

Took me about 10 mins with Uncle Stanley - wasn't being hugely fussy but i recon that it would superglue back together again. No rubber seals or anything in it. Having spent over an hour and 2 tins of carb cleaner on it and still not cleared the two tiny holes in the middle bit it would have been worth splitting it in the first place (knowing what I know now)
I thought that the outer two passageways were clear but looking at it now - clearly not.

Its to meter the quantity of crank case gases allowed in....to much and it would dilute the fuel/air mix at idle and it would then tick over like a dog.

Even tough mine ran clear when i cleaned, I think I may do again, with a stiff bit of wire....
