Title: Japanese Grand Prix
Post by: bob.dent on 10 October 2011, 13:20:47
Well, no surprises Vettel clinched his 2nd World Championship. ::) Vettel and Red Bull have been a damn formidable team and they thoroughly deserved it - just a shame none of the others were able to take the fight to them this year. Yet another superb drive from Jenson who just keeps getting better and better, but WTF has happened to Lewis?? He just doesn't seem to have the aggression and confidence he had in his championship winning year and yet another incident with Massa! Wonder if he'll still be at McLaren next year. :-\
Vettel's championship aside, it was a great race - once again, the Pirelli tyres and DRS are making for some good action on the track. :y
Oh, and Jaime......keep outta this thread!! ::) ;D

I noiced that Vettel took the lead at the start in typivally Germanic fashion.Should have been penalised imo. Button does seem to have found some good form recently, and seems very happy at Mclaren. :y
Hamilton - I wonder if the split from his Dad and being managed by a big showbiz agency has had an adverse affect ? Maybe his dad was a steadying/guiding hand etc. Imo he is the most talented driver by quite a margin, but he needs to start using his head a bit more.He seems a bit desperate recently. :-\

GP is one of the few things I am allowed to watch. Not the best race ever, but it's an exciting track. Onboard shots through 130R are amazing

You may well be right, he pulled off the track as soon as he passed the chequered flag and had to run back to the podium!! :o

Ah, the Monday Tedium thread ::)

I saw a bit of it (safety car to clear minor debris? WTF?), crap as ever. I got up ad watched some paint dry instead. Far more rivetting....

F1 is what it is, I watch and enjoy and have for 45 yrs :)

For real wheel to wheel all action racing I have been addicted to British Superbikes (and superstock) for the last two years. :y

Yesterdays season closing races was absolutely fantastic  :y :y :y

Hamilton heard the voice of God before the race, it said 'Come forth young man', but he didn't listen, and came fifth. ::)

Agreed, the BTCC is exciting but DTM (German Touring Cars) is even better - some of the fastest touring cars in the world. :y
