Title: V6 estate rear wiper
Post by: Marks DTM Calib on 10 October 2011, 16:27:39
Matchless popped round in his Omega estate last week which was sporting a Corsa C rear wiper blade.

Not only are these cheaper than the Omega ones but they also appear to be more compliant and hence wipe more of the glass!

that explains the message I got last night...

Although I expect its cleaning power to be indentical....if you never push the button ;D ;D

Nice info though

I find a newish blade, on a new arm actually works well, provided the screen never gets too dirty

Just popped a cheapie flat blade off Ebay on Janes estate and follows the glass profile a lot better than a standard blade  :y

I recently went to stealers to get original, factory-curved blade to my estate. I was sold a Vectra C rear window blade which not only is shorter also is straight. Went back to desk and they looked the system and said: "the original is nowadays superceded by this Vectra C blade"... Anyone had the same in UK?

Will  also source some Corsa C blades as adviced  :y

You all need to drive faster, that way nothing will over take so you don't need a clean rear view ;D

By any chance did he also have the corsa arm fitted (9114678 and 9114680) as the fitting clip is different

I've just replaced all 3 on mine with those. For $8.50 delivered, I'm thoroughly impressed, and have ordered a pair for the Avenger.

One thing to do is ensure the spring pivot on the wiper arm is lubricated and free to follow the contours of the rear window. Mine always missed a section at the top around the brake light ,even with new blades, but after a good squirt of 3 in 1 and a bit of manipulation  ::) it now clears the whole rear screen wipe area.
