Hi guys i am after a set of locks for my pf/l sallon and found someone with a set of locks from a f/l estate.
Does anyone know if these will fit on to a pf/l saloon? with or without modifications
Thanks Danny :y

Ignition & driver's door will be the same, no idea re the boot & tailgate lock though.
What's the reason for swapping locks? Don't forget the chip needs to stay with the respective car. :y :y

i am changing them due to not having a key for the boot. the central locking failed the other week and i had to climb throught the back seats to open the boot. turns out one of the wires was broken. all fixed now but would like to have a key just incase it fails again. :y

It's probably easier to just get the boot lock with key, but it does mean you'll have 2 keys ::)
May be worth a look for a locksmith who can cut the key to the lock for ease :-\

You sure that the lock & key don't match? As the central locking is used most/all the time, the lock gums up & you then tend to struggle to use your key in it. Try lub'ing the lock first, if that doesn't work then follow the guide for the ignition lock & clean up your tailgate lock. If you know that the key & lock don't match, when you have the barrel stripped down, use a selction of tumblers from other locks to make it fit your key. :y

Might be worth going back and looking at the thread you started in the wanted section, as I have posted a reply on there regarding best option to sort this problem.. :y
Probably easier, and cheaper than replacing the whole cars locks as the boot lock on the saloon is not the same as an estate, as I found out when I needed to order parts from dealer. ;)
