 :-\ well guys thought that i might have a head gaskit away , :o but turns out to be breather away and need cleaned  coz nothing in sump or dip stick but in the oil cap there was, no back presher in the water tank so might be thermost valve  but the temp seems fine
but the guy i got it from he put an egg in it before he knew it was the water pump and fixed it so there might be a block in it  any ideas

Just give me a minute to decode that post  :o

Oil on the filler cap, is normal. V6 creates a lot of condensation, which forms on end of cap. Long blast on motorway would clear it.

What is the actual fault you are experiencing?  Over heating? Loosing Oil?  ???

 :D sorry about that typeing , the temp seems to move up and down between 80 and 95, and i feel that the car runs a little ropy and a funny smell like oil/water smell from under the hood, and sometimes i see what looks like smoke from the area whare the water tank is but not all the time, some times smoke from the rear exs but not all the time, emmishon light is on too  ???

Right, what code is stored. There must be one if emission light on.

It ain't your head gasket.

Smoke from under the bonnet?

I had this, but it turned out both my cam covers were leaking  :'(

It was all my nice fresh oil burning nicely on the exhaust manifold & everything below  ::)

New cam covers fitted now, just need to spring clean the engine now, although no more smoke  ;D
