I am trying the fairly simple(to most people I would suspect) task of replicating everything on my temporary 30Gb hard C drive to a vast(to me) 250 Gb hard drive.
I got out my bought copy of Norton Ghost 2002 and can't get it to work as I haven't a floppy drive.
Any recommendations for a free downloadable programme that will do the job easily?

I use a linux live CD that contains tools to clone drives and also resize the NTFS partition to use the whole of the new disk. Can't remember what it's called though. ::)
Clonezilla Live looks worth a try... http://www.clonezilla.org/

forgot to add that op system is XP
PC involved only has a cd/dvd play drive(not RW). I have access to another machine that could download and burn a CD.
It does have USB and I have some fair sized sticks(4 and 8GB)

Some of the "live" drive imaging software will also boot from a USB stick. CD might be the less painful route, though. Not all machines support booting from USB.
