Post by: JIFFY on 21 October 2011, 00:47:27
hey guys,
anywhone know how difficult it would be for me to remove all my carpets for a one off really good clean session,
do the seats have to come out?
ive allways had black carpets before but these are grey and driving me mental every time i drive the miggy,
got to clean them anyway, just thought it might be a little easier if they were out,

I think it would be an awful lot of work (and possibly a mistake) to take them out and refit them correctly ;)

I've got a vax hoover/cleaner in the house. Once a year usually, I use the vax on my carpets using the small head washer. Does the job good and a damn sight easier that taking seats etc out  :y

I'll second that : get a carpet cleaner and use the upholstery nozzle ( VAX is perfect).  yopu'll be amazed at the crap you can get out!

it's not that difficult. I usually do it when I give a car a good clean. Jetwash is the answer.

you'll need to remove all the seats and the trim around the door apertures, together with the centre console, but then again a clean isn't really a good clean unless the seats have come out.

There are three carpets -  a front carpet each side and a single rear one.
